Divetech has so much to offer you for your underwater adventure. Our two shore diving sites have easy access for divers of all levels. Boat dives will take you to all the great sites in West Bay and the North Wall. Looking for something new? Try an underwater scooter, or a Lionfish culling course.
For the technical and rebreather divers, we offer full support with gasses, supplies and rental equipment.
Cobalt Coast
Right at the point where West meets North is our fantastic shore dive site Cobalt Coast.
Divers can enter the water from the ladder at the end of the dock and expect a nice and easy swim exploring the hard pan looking for little critters in around scattered coral reef. The dive site slopes gently away from shore for about 700ft, starting at around 20-25ft to the top of the mini wall which is around 40-50ft.
On top of the wall there is a beautiful landscape of soft and hard coral along with colourful schooling fish everywhere. The wall then drops away to reveal wide and narrow channels with drastic overhangs, leading to the sandy floor at around 65-75ft. Explore the channels and look for giant barrel sponges and sea fans, large barracuda, snapper and much more!
Swim along the wall exploring big patches of coral reef keeping your eye out to the vast sandy landscape for Stingrays, Eagle Rays, Turtles and Sharks.
This dive site is very diverse with so much to explore, one dive just might not be enough!
Divetech's shop is on site with air and nitrox, rental equipment, and our neighboring restaurant Nova is a perfect place for a post-dive meal and cocktails.

Divetech's three custom dive boats Atamyway, Atatude, and Atagirl, run on a daily basis to provide two-tank trips in the morning then a selection of one or two tanks in the afternoon. Boat dives run to dive sites in West Bay or the North Wall depending on weather and other considerations.
All dive boats offer half shade and half sun, ample storage, and a freshwater shower. A minimum of two instructors are always aboard for topside/surface watch and to act as an in-water guide. You are welcome to follow our dive guides or go off and explore in your own buddy pairs.
All boats are fully equipped with emergency oxygen, full first aid kits, marine VHF radios, life jackets and fire extinguishers in the very unlikely event that they should be needed.
We can supply air or nitrox in 50, 63, 80 or 100 cuft tanks.

Boat Diving
Possibly one of the world’s most enjoyable 12’ dives, Stingray City is an absolute must do for all visitors to Grand Cayman. Unlike the sand bar which can get a little crowded, we prefer to run trips out to the dive site where you can kneel down in the sand and enjoy the spectacle of an abundance of southern stingrays swimming all around you.
And it’s not just the rays that you can find here, the schools of snappers, jacks, sergeant majors & tangs against the backdrop of beautiful coral heads really make you feel like you are sitting in an aquarium.

Stingray City
The USS Kittiwake is Grand Cayman’s most impressive wreck and is often regarded as a “must-do” for divers and snorkelers visiting the island. The fascinating story of this 251’ vessel continues to evolve. Following 50 years of active service in the US Navy as a submarine support vessel, the Kittiwake was sunk near Seven Mile Beach to make an artificial reef and playground for divers. In 2011 the decommissioned ship was successfully situated underwater in an almost perfectly upright position. Six years later, however, the power of mother nature repositioned the wreck by lying it on its port side.
Whether you have dived the Kittiwake before or want to make your first ever wreck dive, the new angle is guaranteed to deliver an outstanding experience.

USS Kittiwake
Freediving or breath-hold diving is a method of underwater diving that does not require the help of a breathing apparatus. Instead of using a compressed gas supply, you simply hold your breath for as long can until you return to the surface. It is obviously the oldest form of diving for humans, and is perhaps the ultimate connection between humans and water.
The clear calm water, and underwater topography of the Cayman Islands provide a wonderful environment for Freediving. Particularly Divetech's house reef at Lighthouse Point, one can just swim out 300 feet from shore and enjoy depths of up to 70 feet on our world-famous mini wall.
Divetech does not charge for Freediving from our Lighthouse Point location, however, safety and prudence require you to have a Freediving buddy with you at all times. Divetech offers Freediving buddies, as well as rental equipment like Freediving blades, floats, and lines.

Freediving
Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPV’s) to give them their formal name, enable the user to cover a greater distance while using less energy. The kind of dive they facilitate isn’t really about looking at the fine detail hoping to find cool macro critters, it’s about the ride and enjoying the reef as you zoom past it.
You don’t need to have a DPV specialty certification in order to use these scooters but we can arrange that for you while here on island if you like. If you are confident enough to take them out without an instructor then we’ll give you a full rundown as to how to use them then off you go, just remember to hold on tight! Underwater Scooters
Diving at night is a truly awesome experience. Under the cover of darkness, the ocean inhabitants completely change their behavior. From sleeping turtles to hunting octopus, diving in the dark introduces you to a whole new world. As the sun goes down, creatures that usually hide throughout the day start to come out in the search of food. Lobsters that can usually only be spotted under rocks patrol the hardpan, with yellow stingrays never too far away.
Night dives are very easy at our Cobalt Coast shore dive location. Entering from our dock it is a short 5-minute swim to the reef wall between 25 and 70 feet.
On Mondays and Thursdays, we offer regular guided night dives at Cobalt Coast. Included in the guided night dive is an experienced dive instructor as your guide, a dive light, tank and weights. Kittiwake night dives are available on request, with a minimum of 4 persons.

The Cayman Islands with its warm, clear water and deep wall diving makes an ideal location for technical diving. Divetech has been supporting technical divers for over 20 years with backmount and sidemount doubles, decompression bottles, high-pressure trimix, and deco gas. Divetech also has all the dive gear you need, including backplates, wings, and harnesses.
We offer guided technical dives from our Cobalt Coast location. With your certified technical dive guide you can dive to a maximum depth of 50m, or a maximum depth to whatever profile you are certified to.

Divetech is the largest rebreather facility in Grand Cayman and has been supporting closed & semi-closed circuit divers since 2003. We are not just rebreather-friendly, we are rebreather fanatics!
We also have a full stock of CO2 absorbent, a variety of onboard and bailout tanks, high pressure oxygen, and helium diluents.

Rebreather Diving
If it has been over a year since your last dive we recommend you complete a refresher course or guided dive from our shore diving location in preparation for the spectacular deep Cayman walls, which we dive from the boat.
Just off Divetech’s Lighthouse Point location lies one of the best shore diving sites in the world. Known for it’s great visibility, rich marine life, and easy access, Divetech's shore location is a great location for divers of all levels and abilities.
300 feet from shore, divers will find our mini-wall with profiles ranging from 35-70 feet deep. This is where you'll find our Guardian of the Reef statue sitting in the sand. Swimming another 300 feet west, divers will encounter the main wall, with its spectacular drop off into the abyss. Tops of the main wall coral reach as shallow as 40 feet, with dramatic canyons running out to the deep. A reference line in the sandy patch between walls aids in navigation to and from the main wall.
