LIGHTHOUSE POINT (NEW SITE OPENED OCTOBER 2007) is located on the NW tip of Grand Cayman - a great quiet getaway from Seven Mile Beach and just 20 minutes North of town. Here you will experience a shore dive on the mini wall or wall that is rated amongst the top on the island! 50 yards off shore makes easy access to a 35' vertical mini-wall that runs from 25' to 60', where an abundance of corals, sponges and marine life will be seen. The dive site is pristine and unspoiled with southern, eagle and lemon rays, octopus, scorpion fish, bristle stars, crabs, anemones, eels, tarpons and an abundance of reef fish from juveniles to old timers seen on a daily basis.

An old anchor, dated from 1815 - 1850 is located in the shallows to check out on your way back in. Lighthouse Point is designated as Historical Shipwreck Site # GC 33, a known archaeological site and just offshore in 15 feet of water you can see an anchor dated between 1815 - 1850's. We ask all guests to please not touch or disturb the anchor, and leave it for future visitors to see.

Divetech stocks only top of the line merchandise. We have a large selection of custom t-shirts, tanks and polo's, all with Divetech logos on them. Scuba enthusiasts want only the best, and Divetech is pleased to be able to offer all Scuba Pro diving equipment in rental as an authorized dealer. For free diving (apnea) - the original extreme sport - we stock long blade fins and lo-volume masks from Sporasub and Omer, and accessories from Diverite, OMS and more. All of those last minute accessories can be found, and cold juices, soda and snacks are available. AIR & NITROX tanks are available.

Our new facility is open for shore diving. Complete dive shop services, bistro and condos will be completed in late 2008. A rending of the project (work in progress) is shown following.

DIVETECH @ COBALT COAST DIVE RESORT Just like our Lighthouse Point shop, Divetech at Cobalt  Coast is Oceanside. A few steps from your luxurious hotel room, off our private dock and you're in 6 feet of crystal clear blue water. Never before has any diving been done in this area of Cayman - so you are on pristine reefs - abundant with schools of fish. Sea Fan Reef is an easy shore dive away, and Cobalt Ridge is the start of the deep wall. Cut and groove formations make navigation easy right out your front door. The deep wall is 15 minutes off shore, and access to the wall is provided by swimming or on underwater scooters to enjoy a 1-way dive back to the dock. Showers, pool, retail store, set-up benches, restrooms, bar & restaurant "Duppies" are located on-site.  Private Lockers at Cobalt Coast include private full sized lockers, pad locks and hangers.

CHECK-IN DIVES - Our shore dives make great check-in dives when you arrive on the island. On all of our packages, we provide a complimentary tank and weights for your arrival day - to get things sorted & your weights arranged, so fly in early! With easy access and gently sloping bottom to the mini-walls, divers can check out their gear, weight, and fine-tune their performance to make the rest of the dive trip an enjoyable experience! The shop features a retail store for those last minute items that may be needed, and facilities include showers, rinse tanks, gazebos for gearing up in the shade, and a full line of rental equipment including computers, scooters and cameras. Both air and Nitrox tanks are available.

GUIDED MINI-WALL and DEEP WALL DIVES! Daily guided dives are taken to the 60' mini wall or to the deep wall at Lighthouse Point and at Cobalt Coast Resort. Guided dives are run by our experienced staff of Instructors to show you all of the best spots and marine life on the reef. Visit Turtle Reef Mini-wall, Turtle Rock, Karla's Cavern, Sand Flats, Broken Arch, and more great spots right from shore. You can schedule dives at any time throughout the day!

NIGHT & WALL DIVES - Join us for a great night dive - every Monday or Thursday night with an experienced guide. Enjoy the abundance of octopus, lobsters and eels out to play at night. Summertime check-in is at 6:30pm, wintertime check-in is 6:00pm. Maximum 8 divers in a group. Or course, you can dive at night any time you like - as buddy teams! Guided night dives include rental dive lights too!

UNLIMITED SHORE DIVING!  Join Divetech for 3 days or more on a dive package, and your shore diving at both locations is included FREE on the same day as boat diving trips. You'll have unlimited access to air tanks and weights, and you can take advantage of both the deep and the mini-wall at any time. You won't get tired of diving these reefs! Nitrox tanks are available for an up-charge.
