Divetech has gone 100% computer diving/profiles on the boats! This new service allows divers more bottom time on the great multi-level walls and reefs in Cayman. This service is also extended to our students. PLUS - FREE dive computers will be supplied if you need one for the week. We have 40 Scuba Pro/Uwatec Aladin Prime Wrist computers that support both air & nitrox. These new units are easy to use, and will offer our boat diving customers and students more freedom, more flexibly, and a great safety advantage. In order to facilitate this, we have changed our boat diving schedule/hours of operation to allow time for 2 dives at 1 hour each, assuming no decompression and gas supplies allow this. This change, while a significant investment on our part, is in response to our customers and what they would like to see from us. So we listened and we are responding! The natural underwater topography of Cayman allows for a great multi-level dive, so was are taking advantage of this with computer diving. Coupled with our complimentary shore diving packages at both Turtle Reef and at Cobalt Coast Resort, we hope that this new innovation will be an exciting and rewarding option for divers choosing to dive with us. Rental computers are also available for sale, if you would like to take yours home, at a great rate to keep you diving on a computer! Divetech and Cobalt Coast Resort in Grand Cayman were the hosts for the Diveheart Week in September 2006. The intensive 5-day course resulted in 7 Divetech staff being certified as HSA Scuba Instructors. The course entailed a history of H.S.A., Psychological adjustment to disabilities and disability types Spinal injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Amputations, Hearing Impaired, Sight impaired, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Diabetes, Cancer, Asthma, Seizure Disorders, Certification Standards, special training considerations, lifting techniques, Wet Suit donning, Paraplegic & Quadriplegic training.
Whether you are a certified scuba diver or wish to become one, Divetech can now offer training through the handicapped Scuba Association for disabled people. Buddy training is also available for friends or disabled divers, to help your buddy in the exploration of the underwater world.
The Diveheart Foundation was founded in Early 2001 and is a non-profit tax exempt national organization, providing and supporting educational SCUBA diving and snorkeling experience programs that are open to any physically impaired child or adult in the hope of providing both physical and psychological therapeutic value to that person. It is the CAN DO spirit that the Diveheart Foundation hopes to instill in all its participants. Giving them the confidence and independence that allows them to face their own life challenges and overcome barriers that before might have seemed insurmountable. _______________________________________________________________________________ Cayman Caravan - Welcome all you flyers! A Guided Drift/Scooter Dive from Cobalt Coast to Lighthouse Point: Talk about beautiful untouched underwater reefs & canyons in Cayman, the North wall between our 2 operations offers virgin reef diving. It's a 60 minute cruise with time to stop at Hepp's Pipeline, Turtle Reef, Horseshoe Bay and cruise with lots and lots of turtles, beds of stag horn corals, and more. The dive profile is multi-level from 60 - 30 feet, runtime about an hour, scooters to get you there, and our dive boat offering top-side support just in case. What a blast! Fisherman's' Rock Drift Snorkel: Take an afternoon snorkel to some of the pristine northern snorkel sites inside the North Sound, tagging along with Ata Taxi. Shallow sites inside the sound and along the iron shore and fringing reefs on the North offer superb snorkeling in beds of sea whips, sea fans, corals, schools of fish ….. 2 Hour trip, maximum 6 snorklers, towels, drinks, snorkel gear, guide on Ata Taxi: (Min 2 snorklers) Free Diving Courses (Breathold Diving) 1 - 3 days of training at the snorkler, open water, advanced or master free diver level. Experience the ocean in a quiet, bubble-free environment, and become more in tune with your own aquatic bio-rhythms! Specialty courses including buoyancy, cavern, wreck, night, deep, navigation, multi-level/computer diving, naturalist, coral reef awareness, search & recovery, scooter/DPV diving & drysuit CCR Rebreather Experience: Try out a dive on the Inspiration, Evolution, KISS or ptima Closed Circuit Rebreathers for a 1/2 day and see what they are all about. Price includes CCR rebreather rental, nitrox, scrubber pack and a guided dive following some Instruction and shallow water skills. Max: 2 at one time Scooter Dive: Rent a scooter and do a shore dive to go flying along the mini wall! Buddy Teams required; orientation briefing given in advance. Max: 8 at one time Nitrox Class: Still diving air? Take a nitrox course and find out all about the risks and rewards of diving nitrox - less fatigue - longer bottom times - less nitrogen loading. Class is a 1/2 day in the afternoon, followed by your boat dives the next day on nitrox. Kids: If your children and coming along, we have 1/2 day kids programs to teach them snorkeling and scuba - from ages 8 and up - on SASY, PADI Seals or SSI Rangers missions like buoyancy, equipment, navigation, photography, scooters, marine ID and more. Stingray City trip: Add on a 1-tank Stingray City trip to dive or snorkel and visit our world famous 12 foot dive site. Divers and snorklers welcome. Night Dives: Every Monday and Thursday night, we hit the water after dark for a great night dive to visit the eels, lobsters, octopus and more while they are out scavenging. Night dives are done from shore and include guide, tanks, weights and lights. Groups of 8 maximum. Technical Diving: We offer a full range of courses in technical diving from Advanced Nitrox through Advanced trimix. We are also happy to accommodate any special requests that you might have, so just let us know! Your official ceremony can be on the boat with your choice of Ministers, or on land when you return from the charter trip. The Minister and marriage licenses are paid separately directly to the Minister that you choose. For Ministers there are a number of choices for all denominations or preferences. All wedding officers, support services and legal requirements are listed on the government website of www.gov.ky.

Get dropped off at your own deserted beach on the North shore in the only National Marine Park in Grand Cayman, Barker National Marine Park on the Northern tip of the western side of Grand Cayman.
